Adam Sandler receives record amount of Razzie nominations

While Adam Sandler's comedies are usually commercially lucrative, his standing with the critics is far less successful. Further proof to that assertion comes in the form of this year's list of Golden Raspberry nominations, of which Sandler has a record setting 11 nominations.

The previous Razzie nomination record was held by Eddie Murphy for his work on 'Norbit' in 2007.

Sandler managed to attract the unwanted attention for his dual role in 'Jack and Jill' (absolutely shocking trailer here) and a production credit for 'Bucky Larson'.

'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' and 'Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1' were also heavy hitters at the tongue-in-cheek award ceremony's initial list.

It's rare for the 'winners' to accept their gongs in person, but Sandra Bullock made the history books for being a good sport and accepting hers for 'All About Steve' just before she picked up a slightly higher honour (the Oscar) for 'The Blind Side'. The Razzies will be dished out on April Fool's Day 2012.
